One of the requirements of AS/NZS 5033 is an "earth fault alarm" for situations where there is an earth fault in the inverter, and the user does not know about it. right now there is a red light on the inverter in this case, but new regulations require that there is an active presentation of the situation to the user - how that happens is up to the inspector but an email would be good. I was thinking that extending the Alert functionality (currently for stale data) to include watching for an error code in the error channel would be a nice way to make the SunnyBoy inverter range compliant with regulations.
