There is a desire to be able to run Cloud Datum Stream expressions on arbitrary sources, such as those generated by physical nodes. This new datum stream would be configured with a "granularity" setting such as FifteenMinute that when polled for datum would generate clock-aligned datum at the given period. The properties of the datum could include static values, or more likely expressions.
