Some users would benefit from an automatic "expiration" time attached to instruction entities, such that they could, once the expiration date passed, have their status transitioned from a "pending" state (Queued, Received, or Executing) to the Completed state, with a "instruction expired" message and "false" success value.

A new periodic job would need to query for expired instructions and update their state.
