writing applications that visualise or analyse SolarNet data using SolarQuery

this is more of a discussion, but while I don't think SolarNet wants to be a repository of raster images, I think there are bunch of use cases where an image could be associated with a nodeId via a sourceId, but reference the media existing possibly somewhere else. The idea of a universal locator for that exact media file, and how it is tagged whether by the file name, or metadata held on the image itself (exif? IPTC?), or a separate database linking file to timestamp I am not sure.  But there are use cases where it could be good to associate an image or multiple images with either a raw Datum (this nodeId, this instant) or an aggregate record representing a timeframe in UTC (this nodeId, these 15 minutes).  It could be that a node creates that image itself, or it could be that another node creates it but the application or plugin ON a node has a token to access that data.  The reason for the flexibility is that the thing creating the images may not be right next to the SolarNode for which it is intended, but the image details anyway (the file name, the universal location?) should be available from a SolarQuery command. getting the actual document might involve other steps or credentials, but having a standard way to do this, however the topology happens, however the images tied to the time series are generated, would be cool.
